Umbra and the Volcan Siege is a sextet based out of Chicago Illinois since 2007. Their debut LP, The End of the Beginning was recorded live at the Volcan Gallery in the Winter of 2010-11 by creator and song writer Jim Licka. The album documents the growth of a band through music and friendship. "Together we have created a sound that is unique and authentic. Touching base on several genre's. A heavy emotional sound filters out producing visions of colors of beauty, also deep haunting emotions that seep through the record."
